Thanks A Million!
Hens expect 1,000,000th fan on Monday, August 11…

The Toledo Mud Hens are pleased to announce that the overall attendance in the history of Fifth Third Field will surpass one million on Monday, August 11. Monday’s game versus Charlotte will begin at 7 pm.

During the 2002 season, The Toledo Mud Hens broke an all-time attendance record by drawing 567,804 fans. This number includes the two playoff games in September. During the 2003 season, the Toledo Mud Hens have drawn 420,027 fans through games played on August 6.

***To celebrate the one millionth fan’s arrival on Monday, the Mud Hens will randomly select a fan for a chance to win one million pennies ($10,000). The fan will win the money if the 100th Charlotte pitch (“the payoff pitch”) of the game is hit for a home run by the Mud Hen batter. This lucky fan will also receive other special prizes such as ten 100 Grand candy bars and other ‘millionaire’ type prizes.

Toledo is also making a push for the International League post-season. The Hens are currently 59-59, which puts them 6.5 games back in the IL West and 3.0 games back in the Wild Card chase. Toledo concludes their current home stand Thursday night at Fifth Third Field versus the Indianapolis Indians. First pitch is scheduled for 7 pm.

The Mud Hens will be home next week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
