Concessions At Fifth Third Field

V/Gladieux Enterprises, Inc. is the official food and beverage operator for Fifth Third Field, Home of the Toledo Mud Hens. We are please to provide non-profit organizations with an exciting way to raise funds for their cause. We are looking for friendly, hard-working volunteers to work the concession stands and portables during the games. If your group / organization would like to be a part of an exciting atmosphere while earning fundraising dollars, this is a great opportunity for you.

V/Gladiuex provides your organization with all the tools they need to be successful. We provide you with training, supervision, a meal, uniforms and a percentage of the sales. Your group provides us with hardworking, enthusiastic individuals with positive attitudes to give our guest first class customer service.

V/Gladieux is always looking to get local community organizations involved in our success. Contributions made to local non-profit organizations participating in our Fundraising Program total over 140,000 dollars annually.

Group Eligibility/Commitment

  • The group must comply with all laws governing fundraising activities, V/Gladieux policies, Fifth Third Field and the Toledo Mud Hens rules.
  • Group must supply their Non-Profit State Tax Identification Number on their signed service group agreement prior to your group’s first event.
  • Group must commit to work at least 12 games and attend two training sessions before they work their first event. All games must be at the same location.
  • V/Gladieux insists that group leader(s) read the Service Group Agreement and all group members read the Guidelines for Groups Booklet before they sign the service group waiver form.
  • Group members must be at least 16 years old to volunteer and 19 years old or older to serve alcohol.
  • The non-profit group is responsible for its own insurance requirements in all areas. Any and all insurance coverage for group members is the sole responsibility of the group.

* V/Gladieux supplies cooks at these portables. ** Total members needed include 1 group leader and 1 head cashier. *** V/Gladieux will provide each stand with a stand manager and each portable with a portable supervisor.

Groups can expect to earn from $125.00 to $225.00 in Stands 1 and 6, from $225.00 to $350.00 in stand 3, from $400.00 to $525.00 in Stand 5 and from $500.00 to $700.00 in Stands 2 and 4. Groups can expect to earn from $250.00 to $350.00 at the Portables. All figures are estimated weekend earning figures, not guarantees.

Please remember that it is very important that all groups meet minimum staffing levels to insure first class customer service to our guests. We can't do it without your group members so everyone must be present and on time ready to volunteer. All group members must be at least 16 years old to volunteer and they must be 19 years old or older to serve alcohol.

Stands and portables must be cleaned and organized thoroughly after every event. Groups will be charged a $50.00 cleaning fee for any past event cleaning that is considered excessive.

Group Commission

  • 9% of net food sales
  • 8% of net beer sales

Group Bonus Dollars

Base Bonus (Stands Only):
$200.00 --- For working season commitment of 12 events

Incentive (Stands Only)
$20.00 --- For each additional event after group’s commitment of 12 events

Example 1 – If your group works 17 events in a Stand, their Bonus Dollars will be $300.00 ($200.00 base plus $100.00 for five extra events)
Example 2 – If your group works 27 events in a Stand, their Bonus Dollars will be $500.00 ($200.00 base plus $300.00 for fifteen extra events)

GROUPS MUST WORK THEIR COMMITMENT OF 12 EVENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR BASE BONUS

Training

V/Gladieux supplies training to all group members to ensure proper management of the concession locations. We also supply your group with all the tools they need to make their fundraising experience at Fifth Third Field a success. This is a Mandatory training. Training will cover the following:

Hands On Training 2 Hours:
At least 8 group member (including the Group leader(s) and Head Cashier(s)) must be present

  • Inventory Procedures
  • Cash Handling
  • Food Preparation
  • Alcohol Service (This applies to every location except for Stand 1 and Portables 108, 109, and 117)
  • Customer Service / Service Effective Training

Uniform Policy

All group members must wear the following:

  • Khaki pants or shorts - No jeans, cut-off shorts, or stretch pants
  • Non-slip, closed toe, comfortable tennis shoes or boots - No open toe shoes, heelless/high heels, or sandals - Everyone must wear socks
  • Red, white, or blue shirt with sleeves - No tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or shirts with inappropriate text or pictures
  • V/Gladieux provides smock and badge
  • Hats may be worn, but they must be a Mud Hen hats only - Hats must be worn correctly with the bill to the front and not to the side or back
