Full Time Seasonal Grounds Crew

Position: Full Time Seasonal Grounds Crew
Employment:Mid March into September (depending on event schedules)
Hours: 40 hours per week with possible additional hours depending on weather and extra event schedules. Employee must have a flexible schedule and be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting and ending times may vary day by day or week by week.
Experience: Applicant must have the ability to operate turf equipment including but not limited to mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles. Previous experience in turf management is preferred, but not required.
Requirements: Must be able to handle flexible schedule and be able to work a wide range of hours. Must be self motivated with a willingness to learn and have a high attention to detail. Ability to listen, follow directions, and work well in a team is a must. Applicant should be able to lift at least 60 pounds with ease. Must be able to endure long working hours and adapt to working in various adverse weather conditions. Having reliable transportation to and from work is required. Must have a good work ethic, and the desire to work outside.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Assist with all routine maintenance on a game day including, but not limited to the following:
Mowing of the outfield and infield
Cleaning dugouts and tunnel under the stadium
Emptying trash containers in these areas
Raking and dragging the warning track
Assisting the Head Grounds Keeper with infield maintenance
Patching and preparing of the bullpen mounds and home plates(both home and visitor)
Setting up batting practice
Edging of the field
Assist in pregame setup of the field
In between inning rake, drag, and changing of bases
Assist in postgame cleanup
Being prepared to tarp the field when necessary
Assist with non game day maintenance including, but not limited to the following:
Aerifying, collecting, cores and topdressing the entire field
Reconstructing pitching mounds as necessary
Infield skin renovation
Edging of the field
Mowing outfield and infield
Watering of skin areas and hot spots
Fertilization
Being prepared to tarp(including in the evenings)
Assisting with non game day events on the field
