2010 SCHOOL CELEBRATION DAYS

Over 24,000 students from 250 different schools in 21 NW Ohio / SW Michigan counties were represented at Fifth Third Field in 2009!

We will again be offering three dates to choose from in the 2010 season. All games will start at 10:30 AM. Click the links below to order tickets today:

SCHOOL CELEBRATION DAYS CURRICULUM GUIDE

We have teamed up with the Lucas County Educational Service Center to develop a unique learning tool - the Baseball Curriculum Guide. The curriculum guide has been designed by teachers, so that the teachers can use them within the classroom. It is intended to meet the initiatives set forth by the Ohio Proficiency Outcomes for grades K-8. The curriculum guides will be distributed to all of the schools that participate in one of the School Celebration Days.

The curriculum guide has been organized with the following in mind:

• Educators tailor their lesson plans to meet the needs of their students.
• Educators may use bits and pieces of a lesson plan to create their own lesson plan.
• Educators have the flexibility to use the curriculum to integrate ideas into current studies.

SCHOOL CELEBRATION DAYS PRICING

• Ticket cost is $4.50 per student, teacher, chaperone & bus driver. (School group ticket prices are a 50% savings off of the normal rate!)
• A special lunch will be provided for an additional $4.00 (hot dog, bag of chips & a soda)

* Lunches do not have to be purchased – all concession stands will be open.
* NO FOOD allowed into the ballpark.*

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• When should I reserve my tickets? You can reserve your tickets today by clicking here, e-mailing John Mulka at jmulka@mudhens.com or by calling John at 419-725-4409. Our School Celebration Days have sold out for the last eight seasons - be sure to make your reservation early to ensure tickets!
• Where will we park our bus? We will mail you a downtown map with instructions on where to park your bus. We block off numerous streets and lots in the vicinity of the ballpark for FREE BUS PARKING. There will be dozens of police officers and Mud Hens staffers directing bus drivers to their parking spots.
• Can our students purchase souvenirs? Of course! Both souvenir stores will be open during the ballgame. Plus, every student who attends will receive a free Mud Hens School Day Folder upon exiting the ballpark!
• I want to come to the School Celebration Day, but I'm not sure exactly how many tickets I'm going to need. What should I do? Make a reservation now, give us the final numbers later! Payments will be accepted at any time prior to the deadline, but final numbers of attendees and payment are not required until 30 days prior to the date selected.
